Drawing with Andy Myers, Teaching Artist and 2013 Artist in Residence, and Michael Boonstra, Teaching Artist and 2005 Artist in Residence

At Caldera’s Portland Weekend Intensive, artists and Oregon State University art professors Andy Myers and Michael Boonstra worked with students to draw, imagine, and work as a team to create both individual drawings and a large collaborative drawing about wild creatures and the places they live at Camp Caldera. Students talked with the teachers and each other about the wildlife they saw or imagined, and about how that wildlife might live at our Arts Center on Blue Lake. Then they made drawings of these creatures with a variety of drawing mediums. The students worked individually to create their own smaller drawing before coming together to construct these drawings into one large art piece.

Students: Starfire, Hulk, Da Verb, Patito, Night Cloud, Wolf, Percy, Skin Walker, Chewyy, Checkmate, Jellybean, Adriana.

Location: Spring Weekend Intensive at the Portland Art Museum

Year: 2015
