Caldera receives Ford Family Foundation Golden Spot Award
Jun 1, 2011
Caldera is honored to announce its selection as one of the The Ford Family Foundation’s “Golden Spot” artist residency grants.
The award is a two-year $40,000 grant, half of which will directly support mid-career Oregon-based artists. The awards went to three Oregon “Golden Spot” residency programs that provide opportunities for Oregon visual artists to explore, conceptualize and produce new work. Two other Oregon nonprofits, Crow’s Shadow and Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, also received residency grants. The grants are part of a seven-part, $3.5 million arts granting program the foundation initiated earlier this year, including an individual artist fellowship program that handed out $25,000 to three artists.
